♫”I’m going to Disney World! I’m going to Disney World!” ♫ *Sung while doing the cabbage patch around the room.*

Now you know that Disney World is one of my FAVORITE places to visit because I have blogged like a crazy person about our trips and now I’m so excited to be invited to a blogger’s media event!  I will be gone for 3 days and get to experience Disney World with a couple of Disney Mom Panelists–the real Disney experts.   I’m not exactly sure what’s in store, but because it is Disney, I know that it is going to be first rate and tons of fun.  I wonder which mouse ears are appropriate to wear on this trip….leopard print, black sequins, the ones with silver ears?  Hmmm; gotta think about that.

I do know that we get to meet Princess Tiana–the newest Disney Princess and star of The Princess and the Frog–and I’m excited about that.  If you haven’t heard of this movie yet, then you have really been living under a rock.    Since Princess Tiana is the first African American Disney Princess, there has been much chatter since it began production.   Like every “first,” Princess Tiana has a very heavy crown to carry and there will be (I’m sure) supporters and detractors, but I have seen the trailer and a making-of-the-movie video at Blogalicious ‘09 and I’m really excited to see the movie in December; it looks like a winner to me!

My kids are NOT HAPPY that I am going to Disney World without them as it is their favorite place to visit also, but I tell them that Disney World is not just for kids; I used to go to Disneyland all the time before they were born and I will continue to go to Disney theme parks after they leave home.  I’ll be sure to bring them a special gift to ease their pain.  But in the meantime…..
